Insomniac
I can't sleep. It's 6am now, and I can't sleep.
The hours that I work have permenetly altered my sleeping habits. I tried resetting my clock - which worked, except that I still couldn't go to sleep later.
"Resetting The Clock" - When you can't go to bed earlier - because you can't sleep, you pull an all-nighter. Thus, you can go to bed at whatever time you want - and fall asleep. Bing-bada-boom. Your clock is reset. So now, here I sit, watching the 5:30am news at my job, and wondering if I went to bed now if I could sleep.
I think I'll try again.
Taking One For The Team
Today marks my fifth week working here at WKTV. So far the ride has been interesting, if nothing else.
Last week I was given a job to do, and, at the time, it seemed simple. Make a tv commercial.
"No problem. I've made tons of those."
Right. Except never on WKTV's equipment.
The computer? Old. The software? Out of date.
But, I never give up, right? RIGHT! So, I sat down and started working on the machine. That's when the problems started. I use a lot of Photoshop layers when I work. After almost completing the commercial I was working on, the Media 100 crashed - and lost everything I'd been working on.
#(%*#!(#&*%*)!#
For the next four days I slaved over the system trying to get it to work unsuccessfully.
So, today, I brought my machine in.
Yup. Right now I'm @ work, capturing video, rendering an After Effects project AND surfing the internet - all on my baby - Titan.
I heart you Titan.
