Surviving My Life

Refuge

I swear - it's a good thing we don't stock weapons at work. Co-workers would be killing each other left and right.

Amidst all the great in-fighting, there's me.

Bored. To tears.

Thankfully, I've been send to the building across the street to learn the Media 100. This building is known by the Production guys as "The Island". The station owns the building, but you have to walk across the street to get there (er...here.)It's also a renovated house - much nicer than the other building.

So, right now I'm parked in front of the Media 100. Dual 19" displays smiling back at me. Finally. I have something to do in my field.

This place is great. Track lighting. Carpeted floors. It's also quiet over here.

Nobody's hollering at anyone else. It's great.

Thank God.

Back to work!

The Weekend

One funeral. One Telethon. Three days.

To say I'm tired is an understatement.

In any case, tomorrow I return to the "normal" schedule - if you could call it that. I don't normally count the 3:30 to midnight shift as "normal".

Ah well.
