TV Producer: Day Three
So there I was - plunked down at my desk, at work, in my office, at the buttcrack of 6:00am.I can't get over how early that is. I firmly believe that there's some form of crack being passed around so that some people can smoke it and come up with these weird times to start work.
The odd thing? Right now, for the three day's that I've been there - from 6am to 9am no actual work gets done. People talk, yawn...surf the internet. Eat some donuts, ect. It's the same thing for the last three days.
I'm working on us "evolving" to the point where it would be possible for us to work from 9 to 5 everyday. So far that's not working out quite as well.
In any case, we didn't finish our show on time today. That meant that I had to hop in my car, having had only 4 hours of sleep (I met a new friend, and we talked quite late)and drive to Syracuse. For those of you that don't live four blocks from me, It takes exactly 1 hour to drive from my job to the tv station in Syracuse. Then I got to drive back.
Of course, driving does give you time to think about other things. Like the fact that I'm really really tired.
Also, I just have one complaint that I will state again.
Please. When driving your vehicle, feel free to drive the SPEED LIMIT. I got behind someone on a 45mph Road (where everyone does 55) doing 30. Sure enough, when I drove past, it was a girl talking on her cell phone.
I'm so glad that she had noplace to be.
*sigh*
Road rage, here I come.
