Rain, Rain Go Away...

Since nightfall last night solid grey skies have been loosing their pent up rain here in Utica. It's raining enough that our newly tarred roof is apparently not without it's gap in the defense. Water suddenly came pouring into our audio studio, and me and the boys from the radio side rushed in to quickly mop up water, move equipment, and shake the water out of the massive collection of cd's while in the background Stevie Wonder's version of "Merry Christmas" blared out of the twenty dollar radio.

This is the type of rain that I don't like. It's a cold, windy, forty degree rainy day here, and it sucks the life right out of you.

Right about now, it's almost time to go home. For me, I'm going home to Blockbuster. These are the kinds of nights when I want to stay home, drag out my massive blanket, and watch some movies. I can already tell you that Cloey would be happily purring in my lap, glad that I was there.

I don't know what it really is about rain, but there's something about it that makes me tired. It could be one o'clock in the afternoon after I slept all night and all morning, but let me look outside on a day like today, and suddenly my body says "Nap time!"

But I must digress. It's time to leave, and I've gotta stop and get some coffee into me before I return to helping the masses rent their entertainment.

Maybe they'll let me bring my blanket...

Maybe they'll let you bring a blanket, some hot chocolate and a toasted peanut butter sandwich. :)
