Winning Friends and Angering Liberals

My posts on President Bush seem to have struck a chord out here in the land of the internet, so I've decided to write a few more things out here, and just state what I believe for those of you who think I have not been clear enough. I'm going to cover a few other things too.

For those of you who tend to have temper tantrums when someone tells the truth, get over it. It's what I believe. If you've got a problem with it, too bad.

Liberals have a problem with President Bush. Their problem? He's a conservative. That's the basis for why they dislike him.

Invading Iraq was the right thing to do. We had to liberate them because the UN never would have. The UN is run by a bunch of liberal beaurocrats who would have continually handed Saddam Hussain demands faster than he could shred them up.

Saddam would have NEVER given up. He would have NEVER let the inspectors back in.

Iraq was the right thing to do.

Then you also hear the "President Bush lied to the country". Give me a break. That's not true, and you all know it. Show me the proof of it. Show it to me.

That's right, you can't. Must be tough.

Because I'm not sure if I've ticked off enough liberals yet, I'll say a few more things.

Abortion is killing babies. In our courts, If a murderer kills a pregnant woman, it's a double homicide. If she kills her own baby, it's not. Go figure. Killing in the name of "convienience" is wrong anyway you slice it.

Homosexuality is wrong. Do I hate Homosexuals? No. I know people who are like that. I don't have a problem with them. But it's still wrong. God nuked Soddom and Gomorah because of it - that's a powerful message.

Affirmative Action is racism. So let me get this straight, picking a black man over a white man because the black man is black isn't wrong, but picking a white man over a black man because he's white is? No. Both of them are wrong. People should get hired because of their merit, not their skin color.

If my Pastor comes out in support of President Bush, he will be sued for mixing politics and religion by the liberals. If another pastor endorses John Kerry, there's nothing wrong with that. Nothing like a double standard.

So, for those of you who agree with me, Thank You. For those of you that don't, get over it. You're not going to change my mind.

First, I would like to say that I am not the anonymous person who left you comments on your other political posts. I don't have a weblog on here, but I have just recently found your weblog, though, and enjoy your writing. I do have to say that I am not a liberal, but I still do not believe in putting President Bush back in office. The lies of the President are clear, even in your writing just now. You said "we had to liberate them." But when the President told us we were going to war, the reason was that we believed Iraq housed weapons of mass destruction. So either he lied in the beginning, or he changed our reason for going in the middle of the war because we found no weapons. One last thing, abortions take place everyday because they're legal. Abortions took place in the last four years and they'll take place in the next four years no matter who is President.

Thank you for your kind words, Mr/Mrs Anonymous. I really do enjoy writing very much.

In this Presidential race of 2004, debating the pros and cons of each selection is important. I do value discussion - but it must be a discussion of logic.

The President at no time lied to the American people. He was told by FBI, his security advisors, Tony Blair (who was told by his security advisors), Vladimir Putin (Russia's Premiere), and other sources in other countries that Iraq was dangerous and had weapons. Again, the same point I posted in other posts holds true: If your mom, uncle, aunt, grandpa, and six neighbors are telling you that your house is going to blow up, you're going to listen to them.

President Bush listened to his advisors, and acted on his infomation. Is he supposed to be clairvoyant and know that they're wrong, or is he supposed to trust these people to do what their paid to do.

President Bush didn't lie to us. He hasn't before, and he's not lying now.

I look forward to more of your posts!

Kerry also believed we would find WMD's. He said so himself. He said if you didn't think Sadaam was a threat, don't vote for him. There are WMD's. Just because we haven't found them doesn't mean they don't exist. Besides, they had so much warning our inspectors were coming is anyone naiive enough to think they didn't have time to get those WMD's to other places like Syria or Iran? Comeon, use your head here. Bush took us into this war with the main premise of capturing Sadaam and finding those WMD's, but he also knew it would result in millions of freed people and an opportunity to turn Iraq into a democratic government where the people would have their fate in their own hands, not the hands of their dictators. Chuck Swindoll, a close friend and spiritual advisor of President Bush said, "They try to make Bush out to be some gun-toting cowboy. Please! I admire his restraint! He could have turned the middle east into parking lots!" He personally knows Bush and said, "prayer was poured into each and every decision he made." Have we already forgotten 9/11? Have we forgotten 12 years and 38 sanctions against Sadaam? And he's supposed to magically listen to Kerry? Riight, tell me another one, Peter Pan. And have we forgotten about the millions of his own people he used biological warfare against? Someone (may have been Bush) said with all our technology and abilities, it would have been a SHAME to turn our heads the other way and allow this to happen.

First of all TJ, well said. It's not often that people debate while sighting specific claims to back up their ideas. The bottom line to your argument can be said to go either way, though.

I personally don't believe that he misled anyone on purpose. I think that his heart was in the right place, and that when Iraq is a fully functional democracy, that it will change the face of the Middle East.

As a side event, all the terrorists are showing up in a central location for us to fight.

How handy!

And one by one we are taking back these "No Go Zones" from the terrorists, and restoring order. Iraq is so close to freedom, they can taste it.

Free elections are but three months away.

Surely you can see that as a good thing?
