Too Many Wires To Count

So today I got to go to Amsterdam to work on the network down there. I wound up staying there from 9:30 in the morning until 12:00pm. The drive there and back was mildly entertaining.

After getting back to work, I started to move my office. Now moving my office isn't as easy as just moving a desk calender. I've got more computers, tv's, and vcr's in my one office than in most Radio Shacks. It comes with the Video Production territory. Anyway - I had to move my office from where I am now, back into where I used to be. Needless to say, Having so much video equipment now means that there is a virtual plethora of cableling. I'm not talking about three or four - I'm talking about around 20 RCA cables, 12 SVHS Cables, 5 Firewire cables, ect, ect. So, I wound up moving my stuff from two o'clock until seven o'clock - and I'm still not done moving everything yet. I got one of my computers moved. That's it. Now I've got another computer to move, and a TON of extra cableing, my entire Video Production Archive (two full Racks of BetaSP tapes - over two hundred of them...) Plus all the extra equipent that I keep around 'in case crap happens'.

So tomorrow morning at 8:30, I'm going to meet Ken at Wal*Mart to get some shelving, and tomorrow I'll continue putting my Video Production room back together.

After moving all of this stuff, I've had an epiphony. If I switch my field from Video Production to...oh...say bongo playing, moving my office will take MUCH less time.

Sounds like a plan to me...
