Taken Out To The Woodshed

The Vice Presidential debate was just completed. And, I think as most people will agree, Vice President Cheney took John Edwards out to the woodshed to explain a few things to him. On two known instances, Cheney's obvious command of the information showed Edwards up.

On every argument, VP Cheney not only fought back, but left Edwards holding the bill. Vice President Cheney also brought up John Edwards' service record in the senate, and John Kerry's voting record saying, "Neither one is very distinguished".

Indeed this debate has brough back into the limelight the service record of John Kerry and John Edwards, which isn't in the least anything to be proud of at all. Now that this was brought back into the limelight, I'm interested in seeing the tactics that their campaign will use to once again try and tarp it over.

I raise my Pepsi to you, Mr. Vice President. You the man!

FINALLY someone in the Bush campaign mentions the Senate records. I was afraid they'd let that huge opportunity pass! I need to remember to video tape these things when I'm gone... Oh well, I'm sure Cheney did a great job. I'll hear all about it tomorrow on Limbaugh and Hannity. Let's just pray Bush follows his VP's lead and creams John Kerry in the next debate.

I'd rather change my mind from wrong to right than to stick with the wrong from beginning to end. That's the kind of person I want in office, too.

Oh, and Mr. Cheney said over and over last night that he has not said that Saddam Hussein and Iraq had direct connections to the terrorist attacks on September 11. But directly after the debate, the news coverage showed a clip of V-P Cheney in the past saying that there was a connection between Hussein and Iraq with September 11. Now, you tell me, is THAT consistent?

First of all, I don't think the Bush administration is wrong, and I will even go out a step further and ask you to prove that they're wrong. Until I see concrete evidence sighting that the President lied to us, I'm never going to believe a liberal telling me he is.

As for the "Saddam connected with 9-11", here's the deal. Cheney didn't say Saddam was connected with 9-11. He said that they though he MIGHT be, and further, what he has always said was that Al-Queida was connected to Saddam, not 9-11. Please sir, do some research before coming up with these things.

Iraq was a hotspot of terroist activity. We might not have the smoking gun, but remember, the old addage holds true: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".
